Welcome our next course will be held over the 31st January/1st February 2009 in Ashford Kent
Welcome
We are delighted to invite you to attend our next PACES course.
Why choose us
We are a small course that survives on word of mouth, we can not afford to produce an average , run of the mill course or we will be consumed by the monolithic, face-less courses, renowned for herding groups of 10-12 candidates around startled patients, whilst a single candidate is watched examining, the others watching time tick by. At least that is what I have had endless candidates recount to me over the years.
We run a personalised course with small groups, 2-3 for the talking stations, 4-6 for the clinical stations and we never exceed these numbers.
Our talking stations are the very best around, I know that, not because I travel around the courses, but because candidates that have, repeatedly tell me my course is the best they have attended. I am always touched by the kind comments about the course as people leave us. That is why I always organise and attend, or teach on it , personally. It is the only way to maintain high standards.
You will see all the patients individually and be able to present them all.
Examiners are personally selected for their communication skills, as well as clinical ability. Those that do not perform well are replaced.
Our bank of patients is second to none and we try to produce 70-80 patients over a typical PACES weekend, some with dual pathology.
In recognition of the difficulty shift work poses to study leave application, you may attend one or both days.
We are now taking applications for 2009, download a form from our 'contact' webpage. You can find a gallery of course pictures on our site as well as details of the course programme.
As with all good courses, we tend to fill our places quickly. Book early with the comfort of knowing you can get your fee back in full up, to two weeks before the course. Note also the fee reduction prior to January.
The very best of luck with this tough examination, we will do all we can to help you
